Review by YH Training: Meet Eurekos LMS – the number one

Just as selecting an ERP system is never just about the technology, choosing an online learning platform is never just a software decision. When the platform is intended for the whole organization and is supposed to support its core goals, everything starts to influence everything else, such as:

  • strategy
  • responsibilities
  • processes
  • communication structures
  • systemic models
  • organizational culture.

Whether you are selecting a learning platform for the first time or replacing an existing one, it is worth taking a step back and considering the bigger picture. The right platform can facilitate agile learning and support strategic competency management, enabling transformation.

This blog series is all about helping you select the best LMS for your needs or familiarizing you with some of the most exciting software currently on the market. All the software have been rated using YH Training’s evaluation model, which is based on years of software consultancy experience. All of the software mentioned in this blog series has also been demonstrated to a YH Training representative.

The first in the series is one of the best I’ve ever come across.

Eurekos LMS

‘Eureka!’ is probably the best way to describe the moment of inspiration that led Nick Eriksen to develop, a platform built on a learning design model unlike anything I have seen in my career. I’ve seen a lot of LMSs: some good, some truly innovative and some frustratingly lacking in the basics, whether for B2B companies training internal teams or coaching businesses looking to monetize their content online.

Eurekos LMS has recently published a number of significant software updates that further enhance the excellent functionality of the LMS.

 These updates include:

  • a personalized catalogue and storefront, plus subscriptions
  • adaptive learning enhancements
  • questionnaires, forms and surveys
  • meta-level analytics
  • skills (competence management)
  • group assignments
  • facility and resource management
  • application and approval processes.

The updates are described in more detail below.

Design Philosophy and Key Features

What stood out to me about Eurekos was how clearly it distinguished itself through its design philosophy and functional depth. A few things caught my attention:

Course design that starts from the big picture

In Eurekos, you can see the entire course structure at a glance, and then zoom into the details as needed. This visual-first approach also enables you to build scenario-based progressions directly within the broader course framework.

Algorithm-driven personalized learning paths

Eurekos enables the creation of bespoke learning journeys based on parameters such as role, skill level or other learner attributes. This is not a speculative GenAI experiment, but a well-established, production-ready feature that existed long before the current AI hype cycle began.

Eurekos has released a significant update to its adaptive learning capabilities. This update supports personalization at three levels: onboarding (with rule-based content assignment), learning paths (via adaptive modules) and page-level adaptivity. This means that different learners can see different content modules or even page elements based on their role, test performance or responses to questionnaires, with everything managed natively.

This new feature allows learning content to be customized in detail for each learner with even greater flexibility than before. Learning scientists, trainers, teachers and learners have been waiting for this since the MOOC trend slowed down initiatives to create something that would enable a highly automated yet personalised learning experience for each learner.

Analytics that go beyond the basics

Eurekos includes meta-analytics that help identify underperforming content or tasks that consume too much learner time, providing valuable insights for optimizing content.

Due to the update, Eurekos now includes visual analytics dashboards at a mid-level that go well beyond traditional LMS reporting. Admins can view time spent on tasks, drop-off points, SCORM engagement metrics, questionnaire response breakdowns and content-level engagement heatmaps. Role-based permissions ensure that each stakeholder only sees what is relevant to them.

Expected in late 2025, upcoming analytics features will include customizable dashboards, allowing admins to personalize which widgets and KPIs are pinned to their home view.

Stakeholder-specific reporting

Create customized report links for different stakeholder groups so each receives insights relevant to their needs without compromising data clarity or security.

SCORM, H5P, and HTML5 as part of the course page

Embed SCORM, H5P and HTML5 content cleanly as part of a course page instead of taking over the whole screen. Interactive content elements can be cleanly embedded as part of a course page instead of taking over the whole screen. This feature is surprisingly rare in LMS platforms and significantly improves the learning flow.

Commerce, store front and subscriptions

As part of the latest update, the new dynamic storefront builder enables the creation of highly customizable, audience-specific landing pages containing learning content. This includes free courses, subscription packages and role-based visibility controls, all accessible via a drag-and-drop interface similar to that of LearnWorlds. Together with the built-in ecommerce features, this update makes Eurekos a serious competitor to trainer-focused LMS providers such as Kajabi and LearnWorlds, offering enterprise-grade functionality. It’s excellent news for any stakeholder looking to offer learning content to their target audience via a landing page. Both free and paid courses and other content can be offered using this method. The best part? Once an interested learner has logged in, the content offered to them can be customized to fit their specific needs. In other words: Eurekos LMS now offers an online store for your learning content. Expected in October 2025: Team subscriptions for B2B.

Skills

As part of the latest update, Eurekos introduced a native skills framework. This allows organizations to define their own skills taxonomies, including optional skill levels, and associate them with certifications and learning activities. When a user earns a certificate, the relevant skill is automatically added to their profile. If the certificate expires, the associated skill can also be revoked, thus supporting dynamic and realistic competence tracking.

These skills can be used as part of personalization logic. Eurekos’s skills model supports realistic, automation-ready competence management, making it an excellent fit for organisations seeking to connect strategic skill development with daily learning.

Coming in 2026: AI-powered suggestions, where learners will soon receive customized learning recommendations based on their skill profile and desired development paths.

Accessibility and Learner Experience

A strong commitment to accessibility

Eurekos doesn’t treat accessibility as an afterthought. The company is already fully compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA and is actively progressing towards WCAG 2.2 AA compliance. This level of dedication remains uncommon, even among the best LMS solutions.

The learner experience is a competitive edge

The visually modern and intuitive interface allows learners to stay oriented and focused throughout their learning journey. The ability to view one’s progress at a glance, along with embedded interactive content and seamless navigation — even offline via the app — makes Eurekos enjoyable as well as usable. Add to this the accessibility implementation and adaptive learning paths, and you have a platform that genuinely supports all learners.

Coming in 2026: UX/UI improvements that will enhance the learner experience even further!

Scalability, Modularity, and Integration

Enterprise-ready scalability

Eurekos is in production with a single organization of up to a million users, handling high concurrency without any performance issues.

Modular and extensible architecture

The platform enables configuration and customization without the need to overhaul core systems. Even API-level changes have been made to accommodate enterprise customers.

Comprehensive integrations

Eurekos supports API-based integrations with HR systems, WordPress, user data flows and performance outcomes. It enables the creation of custom user groups and detailed permission management. These integrations are already in use with multiple large-scale systems and clients.

As part of the update, Eurekos now offers support for facility and resource management, including booking classroom equipment, assigning locations, synchronizing instructor calendars with Outlook, and assigning trainers based on their skills. This makes Eurekos a viable choice for organisations running large-scale blended programes.

In addition to booking classrooms, you can now automatically ensure that each instructor’s skills match the specific training requirements.

Content Management and Creation

A rich content ecosystem

Eurekos supports a wide variety of formats, including: Video, audio, images, SCORM, xAPI, HTML5, polls, quizzes and peer reviews. SCORM and H5P content integrate seamlessly into the course view, ensuring an uninterrupted experience.

AI support for content creation

Although public GenAI is not yet integrated due to security and quality concerns, private AI is used for content translation and AI-assisted creation tools are under active development.

Group assignments

As part of the latest update, group assignments are now supported, enabling multiple learners to collaborate and submit graded group work, a feature that was previously mostly found in academic LMSs such as Moodle.

Questionnaire builder

The update also includes a flexible native questionnaire builder with over 15 question types, including file uploads and consent collection, which now powers onboarding, feedback, applications and adaptive learning logic. This also enables profile enrichment based on user responses.

Multilingual Support and Localization

Support for 195 languages

Using AI, Eurekos can automatically translate entire training modules into all supported languages, including subtitles and interactive elements. SCORM file translation is on the roadmap. Language menus are flexible. Organizations can define the languages available in each environment, and this makes Eurekos an excellent fit for multilingual environments, particularly suitable for international organizations and diverse teams.

External Stakeholders and User Roles

Collaborative content creation

External stakeholders, such as partners and experts, can participate in the design and review of courses.

Flexible user role system

Eurekos offers 14 configurable user roles that can be adapted to meet customer requirements.

Application and approval workflows

As part of the update, new application and approval workflows were developed in collaboration with the European Space Agency. These allow for complex, multi-admin review flows, applicant filtering and ‘potential fit’ evaluation, making them ideal for managing formal programmes or certifications.

Cross-Platform Support

Responsive across devices

Eurekos runs smoothly on desktop computers, tablets and mobile devices, and offers apps for iOS and Android with offline learning capabilities.

Security and Authentication

ISO-certified and GDPR-compliant

Eurekos is certified for ISO 27001, 27701, and 27017. Regular penetration testing is performed by agencies such as the European Space Agency.

Advanced authentication

The platform supports username and password authentication, single sign-on (SSO) via SAML2/OpenID, multi-factor authentication and federated identity setups per tenant. In other words: multitenancy is supported.

Migration, Support, and Agile Development

Support for structured migration

Content and user data can be migrated from legacy systems using built-in tools and with the help of the vendor.

Customer support

Support is available in Swedish, Danish, German, Ukrainian and Spanish.

Agile development culture

Eurekos works closely with customers and adjusts its roadmap based on feedback. Frequent CSM meetings and design previews are standard.

Evaluation Summary

According to the feature-based LMS evaluation framework that YH Training has been developing and applying since 2020, Eurekos performed exceptionally well. Even more impressive was the fact that during the two live demos, each of those points was proven to be valid, which, as anyone involved in LMS procurement will know, is not always the case.

Furthermore, Eurekos has gained an average rating of 4.6/5 stars on G2 and 4.8/5 stars on Capterra following peer reviews.

If your organisation is looking for a modern, versatile and enterprise-grade LMS that combines all the essential features without unnecessary complexity or bloat, I strongly recommend taking a closer look at Eurekos. The platform already excels in core capabilities, and so much more cool features are on the roadmap for the end of 2025 and the year 2026!

Important Reminder:

One final note: as with all my software reviews, this evaluation of Eurekos is based on a quantitative feature analysis, a scored demo session and an expert assessment that is as objective as possible. These reviews are not influenced by commercial interests or financial incentives. YH Training does not benefit financially from any of the vendors I evaluate. This means that you can trust that my focus is solely on what is true and effective.
